Data are drawn from all sessions during the training microcycle. Total VHI = combined accelerations, decelerations and left/right turns >3.5 m.s-2 during a given session. Data derived from inertial movement analysis (IMA Version 2, Catapult Sports).* represents statistical significance (p < 0.05). Interpretation of the correlation coefficients; 0-0.09 trivial, 0.1-0.29 small, 0.3-0.49 moderate, 0.50-0.69 large, 0.70-0.89 very large, 0.90–0.99 nearly perfect and 1.00 perfect (Hopkins et al., 2009). sRPE, dRPE-Breathing and dRPE-Legs all represent the training load calculated from the respective raw RPE values, multiplied by the session duration.
