Frank I. Katch is an International Scholar, Faculty of Health and Sport, Agder University College, Kristiansand, Norway. He is an elected Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine, Research Consortium of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance, and in 1988 was elected to the celebrated American Academy of Kinesiology. Dr. Katch has published 113 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals, 13 articles in professional journals, and 13 invited chapters/papers in books and proceedings. He teamed with William McArdle and his brother Victor to author or co-author 12 books (Exercise Physiology: Energy, Nutrition, and Human Performance. 5th edition, Lippincott, Williams and Wilkins.
